A Telehealth Technology Summit (#TTS18) is planned on December 12-13 at the Hilton New Orleans Riverside.
#TTS18 will feature presentations by telehealth experts and a technology showcase hosted by the National Telehealth Resource Center for Technology Assessment (TTAC). The showcase will include hands-on demonstrations of equipment that can make or break a telehealth program.
The keynote speaker will be Carl Taylor, Executive Director at the Fraser Institute for Health Research. Additional speakers include Kyle Faget, JD, Foley & Lardner LLP’s Government & Public Policy Practice Group; and Monica Chmielewski, JD, Foley & Lardner LLP.
Topics to be discussed over the one and one-half day event include:
- connectivity challenges
- assessing technology
- tech vendor contracting
- FDA device regulation and certification
- FDA software as a medical device
- reimbursement opportunities for remote patient monitoring
- hands-on experience
- and many others
A special networking event will be held on Wednesday evening.
This event is geared toward health care providers, physicians, specialists, nurses, hospital and health care administrators, and policy makers.
The summit is a collaborative effort of HRSA-funded Telehealth Resource Centers, including Southeastern Telehealth Resource Center, South Central Telehealth Resource Center, Heartland Telehealth Resource Center, TexLa Telehealth Resource Center, and the National Telehealth Resource Center for Technology Assessment.
