The South Central Telehealth Resource Center (SCTRC) is part of a consortium of Telehealth Resource Centers (TRC) located across the United States that are federally-funded through the Office for the Advancement of Telehealth, Health Resources and Services Administration. The consortium includes 12 regional centers and two national centers. Every state has a resource center connection.
The centers were established to provide assistance, education and information to organizations and individuals actively providing or interested in providing medical care at a distance. The centers are also involved in assisting the expansion of health care availability to underserved populations.
Each quarter, the consortium offers a webinar on a hot topic related to telehealth. The National TRC Webinar Series is promoted through the consortium web site as well as each resource center’s newsletter and web site. Information on upcoming webinars and an archive of previous webinars can be found at: http://www.telehealthresourcecenter.org/events.
In addition to the webinar series, the national TRC web site provides resources on operations tools, reimbursement, legal & regulatory issues, marketing, training and program development. Take a few minutes to visit the site and find out what is happening in telehealth at the national level. Reach out to your TRC for telehealth resources specific to your state.
