Scott Hurley MS, FNP-C
Nurse Practitioner

Scott Hurley is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner who has been part of the Medical University of South Carolina’s Palliative Care team since 2020. Scott received his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of North Carolina – Wilmington and spent over five years working as a critical care registered nurse before pursuing advanced practice training. He earned his Master of Science in Nursing from Georgetown University in 2018 and has since worked as a Nurse Practitioner in the Charleston area. Palliative care has always been a passion for Scott. Since joining the team at MUSC, he has been an integral part of the Telepalliative Care program, with a primary goal of expanding access to high-quality palliative care services across South Carolina. He strives to provide compassionate, individualized care that is rooted in patient and family-centered values, with a focus on optimizing quality of life and alleviating suffering for those living with serious illness.

Nurse Practitioner

Dr. Anup Bhushan is a board-certified physician specializing in internal medicine and hospice/palliative care at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) in Charleston. He serves as an attending physician in the Palliative Care Program and holds the position of Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine. Additionally, he is the Telehealth Medical Director for Palliative Care at MUSC, reflecting his commitment to expanding access to compassionate care through virtual platforms. Dr. Bhushan earned his medical degree from Saint Louis University School of Medicine in 2005. He completed both his residency and fellowship in internal medicine and hospice/palliative care at Virginia Commonwealth University Health System. With over 19 years of clinical experience, he is affiliated with MUSC Medical Center and is a member of University Medical Associates
