Congratulations to Sarah Rhoads, Ph.D., Associate Professor and Director of Education for the UAMS Center for Distance Health, and Director of the South Central Telehealth Resource Center, on her recently funded $325,000 grant through the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.
Sarah and the grant team have teamed up with the Arkansas Birthing Project to create ‘Enhancing the Arkansas Birthing Project through Technology,’ which aims to develop an app that gives mentors on-demand access to interactive educational materials. The team also plans to establish a web portal through which mentors can communicate with women. The overall goal of the project is to reduce infant deaths in Arkansas.
