Consultations between specialists and primary care providers to promote better patient care are not a new concept, however lack of a payment mechanism and/or an appropriate platform for sharing vital patient data and images between providers have historically been a challenge. Electronic consultations, or eConsults, use telehealth technology to enable enhanced communication and information exchange between providers, and are emerging as a solid tool in addressing barriers to access and timeliness of care. Join us for the National TRC webinar series on June 15, as leaders in the eConsult space share their expertise and key concepts for developing viable eConsult models, as well as lessons learned and outcomes related to quality of care, patient outcomes, and referral patterns.
