We’re all in this boat together.
Last week, the SCTRC team had the opportunity to join forces to cohost the launch of the Telehealth Implementation Bootcamp – 2024 Cohort. This Bootcamp cohort will collaborate over the next several months to learn best practices and considerations to assess need for, develop, and/or expand telehealth solutions for their communities. Our cohort is made up of intrapreneurs.
Intrapreneurs (in-truh-pruh-nor)
Individuals who are tasked with creating new and innovative products within an already-established business. Backed by a company’s available resources, intrapreneurs develop open-ended ideas and turn them into real-world products and services.
New Orleans Kick-Off | July 18-19, 2024
On July 18-19 in hot, humid, and jazzy New Orleans, over 100 participants came from a variety of practice types and professions and from over a dozen different states and territories including Puerto Rico.
Beginning the Bootcamp, we met first in small groups. We ventured out into the city to speak first-hand with a variety of “on the street” discussions with people to understand diverse needs and considerations. Our activities included these in-person talks on the street and with each other to appreciate diverse patient population needs – young and old, urban and rural, rich and poor, digitally-astute or digitally-hampered.
Our hosts in New Orleans served up good times and great food! We’re all back home now and ready to share, learn, and continue to serve our communities. Huge shout out to our attendees, supporters, and co-collaborators – UMMC Center of Excellence, MUSC Center of Excellence, TexLa Telehealth Resource Center, and the Southeastern Telehealth Resource Center. Let the Bootcamp Journey Begin!
