The Value Proposition of Telehealth

Does Telehealth bring value? If so, how much? In what way? What’s the trade off? If you’ve worked in telemedicine or telehealth for any length of time you might know countless examples of how the technology has helped patient outcomes, saved time and money for patients and providers and improved access to care. But do all these things add up to create value for an organization?

Scott Simmons, MS, will present his lecture, “The Value Proposition of Telehealth,” on June 28 at 10:00 am Central Time via live web stream. Mr. Simmons is the Director of Telehealth at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. Simmons has extensive experience in public and private applications in telehealth. He developed NASA’s first space-certified telemedicine system. Simmons is a former board member for the American Telemedicine Association (ATA) is currently on the ATA’s Institutional Council.
