Public Comment Opportunity for AHRQ Patient-Centered Outcomes Research (PCOR)/Digital Health Expertise

The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) recently posted an opportunity for public comment on a new strategic framework for AHRQ’s investments supported by the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research (PCOR) Trust Fund.  We invite you to comment on the framework.  We value your perspective as an expert in digital health and clinical decision support to support people in making evidence-based health care decisions. AHRQ’s Digital Health Team views well-designed, evidence-based digital health tools as integral to patient-centered care.  We also view this as an opportunity to advance the digital health field while improving patient-centered outcomes.  This is a link to the official notice published in the Federal Register inviting public comment through May 24. Relatedly, the Agency posted a blog  about the framework that puts the notice in context and provides information about AHRQ work in this area.

Since 2010, the South Central Telehealth Resource Center (SCTRC) has been providing telehealth training and technical assistance. We offer a wide variety of services and resources to help develop, maintain, and expand telehealth services. While we strive to help anyone reaching out to us for assistance, we prioritize the needs of those who work with rural and other underserved communities and populations in our region — Arkansas, Mississippi, and Tennessee. The SCTRC offers in-person and virtual assistance including on-site demos at our regional telehealth training centers, and popular online resources here such as billing and reimbursement guides, beginner courses, a variety of webinars and recordings, podcasts, and more. The SCTRC team is eager to hear more about your efforts and to brainstorm how we could work together to expand telehealth adoption.
