The quarterly updates for the Arkansas, Tennessee, and Mississippi Virtual Visit Billing Guides have arrived! Payor policies remained relevantly stable this past quarter, with only a couple of small changes to Aetna and Mississippi Medicaid. One item to note is that several Medicare Administrative Contractors (MACs) have been inadvertently processing telehealth claims billed with POS 10 at the facility rate, rather than the non-facility rate, resulting in a lower payment. Several MACs have issued notice of correction and are reprocessing claims at the higher facility rate. If you believe you were affected by the issue, contact your MAC or review their website to determine if they have issued a notice of correction.

Mississippi Medicaid
- Added Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFTs) and Mississippi State Department of Health (MSDH) clinics as approved distant site providers
- Added the installation or maintenance of any telecommunication devices or systems as a non-covered service
