SUMMARY:Telehealth in a Post-PHE World
DESCRIPTION:The PHE will end on May 11\, 2023. Are you ready? \nDescription: How do you develop a strategy when the target keeps moving? The COVID-19 public health emergency (PHE) was accompanied by several waivers and flexibilities that removed many of the barriers to telehealth. The PHE has been extended in 90-day increments since the PHE began in 2020. It is currently set to expire in April 2023. It may or may not be extended another 90-days. In the meantime: \n• Some of the temporary flexibilities and waiver have been made permanent by CMS through changes to the published Physician’s Fee Schedules in 2021\, 2022 and now 2023.\n• Some of the temporary flexibilities and waivers will expire on the day the PHE is declared over.\n• Some of the flexibilities and waivers have been extended for 151 days after the end of the PHE.\n• Some of the flexibilities and waivers have been extended through December 31\, 2024. \nFor those of you who jumped on the telehealth bandwagon after the PHE\, you may or may not realize that the policy landscape for telehealth was very different prior to the PHE. If this describes you\, you may be in for a very rude awakening. Join Rebecca Canino as she discusses the many tools she has put in place to help her organization stay on top of all these confusing and sometimes chaotic changes. \nPresented by: Rebecca Canino\, MBA\, Executive Director\, Telemedicine\, Johns Hopkins Telemedicine \n

SUMMARY:SHLB: Telehealth is Changing – Can Broadband Networks Keep Up?

Programs like the Connected Care Pilot\, the COVID-19 Telehealth Program\, and the Rural Health Care Program are supposed to address this need\, but are they doing so effectively? Join SHLB’s next webinar to explore how broadband programs can better support the new realities of the telehealth marketplace.

SUMMARY:Medicaid & Audio-Only
DESCRIPTION:When the COVID-19 pandemic began and a sharp pivot towards telehealth was made\, policymakers quickly realized that not everyone would have access to video technology. Audio-only was quickly allowed as a modality to deliver services. Now\, policymakers are deciding whether the temporary audio-only policies should be made permanent. Panelists will discuss what their Medicaid programs may or have already decided to do. This webinar series is FREE of charge for all who wish to attend and each session will be closed captioned.

SUMMARY:Telemental Health & State Medicaid Policies
DESCRIPTION:The importance of\, and ability to\, access to mental health services has increased exponentially over the course of the COVID-19 public health emergency (PHE). Medicaid agencies have seen a rapid increase in utilization for telemental health services and these services were the most common type of service during the pandemic. This makes behavioral health services via telehealth a promising area of post-PHE telehealth policy. Join the Center for Connected Health Policy (CCHP) and leading Medicaid experts on Friday\, May 21\, 2021 for the fourth webinar in our Spring webinar series\, Telemental Health State Medicaid Policies. This webinar will bring together Medicaid officials for a panel discussion on innovative strategies to incorporate telehealth into Medicaid behavioral health services and programs. State Medicaid presenters will also discuss relevant policy changes during COVID-19 and how that has impacted plans for the future of telemental health in their states. \nStay tuned for more information on confirmed speakers for this webinar. SUMMARY:Medicaid Telehealth Policies For Seniors
DESCRIPTION:The COVID-19 pandemic prompted an unprecedented number of telehealth policy changes within state Medicaid agencies. This webinar will bring together Medicaid officials for a panel discussion about how state programs and Medicaid agencies incorporate telehealth into their services for seniors (e.g.\, Programs of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE)) and other benefits for dually-enrolled for Medicare and Medicaid beneficiaries. SUMMARY:Medicaid Telehealth Policies For Children And Youth
DESCRIPTION:Medicaid telehealth policies have historically focused on services for adult populations. However\, a growing number of Medicaid programs facilitate the delivery of healthcare services to children and youth via telehealth in primary care\, educational\, and residential settings. Join the Center for Connected Health Policy (CCHP) and leading Medicaid experts on Friday\, May 7\, 2021 for the second webinar in our Spring webinar series\, Medicaid Telehealth Policies for Children and Youth. This webinar will feature presentations on current trends and innovations in Medicaid telehealth policy for children and youth. \nClick Here to Register!\n  \n
