SUMMARY:Webinar: Payor Contracting Strategy and Revenue Cycle Best Practices
DESCRIPTION:Presenter\nBruce Shepard\, Chief Revenue Officer\, Payrhealth \nRural hospitals today face significant cash flow and revenue cycle challenges\, primarily due to a combination of low patient volumes\, high rates of uninsured or underinsured patients\, and reliance on government payers along with shrinking yields and margin on commercial payor contracts. These factors lead to tighter margins\, making it difficult for rural hospitals to maintain financial stability. Additionally\, many rural hospitals struggle with outdated billing systems\, limited staff resources\, and complexities in navigating regulatory requirements\, all of which can result in delays in billing and payment collections. The cumulative effect of these challenges threatens the financial viability of rural hospitals\, impacting their ability to provide essential healthcare services to their communities. \nWebinar Objectives \n\nOverview of key components of hospital revenue cycle process\nReview of top trends and challenges impacting rural hospital’s cash flow\nActionable strategies for rural hospitals to improve their cash flow\nShowcase of PayrHealth’s solution and successes\nHow to create a strategy for your payor contract negotiations\nHow to use contract negotiations to address your hospital’s biggest challenges with payors.\nHow to get past “NO” in Payor negotiations.\n\nRegistration\n\nMember\nNon-Member – $25.00

SUMMARY:The Impact of Recent Court Cases on Telehealth Policy: Cross-State Licensure Court Cases
DESCRIPTION:Two recently filed court cases\, Macdonald et al v. Sabando (New Jersey\, filed in December 2023) and McBride et al v. Hawkins (California\, filed May 16\, 2024) challenge the constitutionality of states requiring providers licensed in another state to obtain a license issued by the state a patient is located in during the telehealth interaction. Panelists will discuss the impact that current existing licensure laws have had\, what impact these cases may have should the plaintiffs succeed\, and how the court cases may unfold. \nHosted By National Policy Center – Center for Connected Health Policy

DESCRIPTION:Presented by: Peter Gardella\, MBA\, BSN\, RN – Director of Operations and Nursing\, MUSC Center for Telehealth \nDescription: Telehealth services\, when deployed to inpatient settings\, can extend provider and clinical support\, keeping patients closer to home and improving the sustainability of local acute care centers. Innovative inpatient telehealth services\, like virtual nursing and continuous virtual monitoring\, are also revolutionizing the bedside care teams to improve patient safety and supporting front-line clinical teams. This webinar will illustrate how the Medical University of South Carolina’s Center for Telehealth extends access and improves outcomes for admitted patients across the state. \nCloser to Home: Improving Specialty Access and Decreasing Hospital Transfers with Inpatient Telehealth Services
