Digital Health Equity: Current Practices and Approaches of Academic Medical Centers

The enactment of the 21st Century Cures Act and the pandemic-related emergence of telehealth made digital tools a central part of health care. These changes have made digital disparities evident and prompted a need to develop a digitally inclusive health care system. Academic medical centers (AMCs) have had to develop a digital health equity strategy to drive improvements in care and access. This summary provides input from digital health leaders across the United States including leadership from the Institute for Digital Health & Innovation, South Central Telehealth Resource Center, at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.
