We spent an amazing four days in Mississippi last week! We started our adventure with a trip to Starkville to visit our good friend, Chip Templeton, at the Mississippi State University Extension Service. We were given the opportunity to present our Telehealth 101 presentation and had a great Q&A session with attendees. One thing was obvious – they are ready for Telemedicine! Tuesday afternoon found us in Jackson – the 2015 site for the South Central Telehealth Forum. Details will be posted on our website soon! On Wednesday we were fortunate to be able to record some patient stories in Richton at the Perry County Hospital. We were also able to film the thoughts of one of our RN supporters in Forest at Lackey Memorial Hospital. We can’t wait to share these with you at the Forum in March! On Thursday we met with Dr. Kristi Henderson’s amazing group at the University of Mississippi Medical Center – Center for Telehealth. We will be working closely with them while planning next year’s conference. We want to take this opportunity to thank them for the support they have shown already! Every day we are more impressed with what is going on in Mississippi. They are leading the way in providing Telemedicine care to their rural population!
