Program Description: UAMS and Arkansas Children’s Hospital have partnered with outlying hospital nurseries and their pediatricians to launch virtual clinical census rounds, integrating targeted evidence-based clinical interventions, and building communication and relationships between the providers within the state. All of this is done with the intention of establishing regionalization of neonatal care in Arkansas.
What can the program do for sites?
•  Collaboration with the neonatologist at UAMS and Arkansas Children’s Hospital •  Subspecialty consults via telemedicine for neonates •  Education with free CE and CME •  Connect mothers to their babies that are transported, and •  Transports back to community hospital.

•  Telemedicine unit in nursery •  Completed affiliation agreement •  Interest in being involved
Prerequisites:
•  Must be a member of AR SAVES, or •  Complete TELEHEALTH 101 training offered by the South Central Telehealth Resource Center. This course is recommended for all new staff that would be using the equipment.
